Cathe Live Review: Solid Cardio Plus Hiit (#27)
Solid Cardio Plus Hiit is an effective and fun cardio challenge that uses no equipment. This is a really good workout and I enjoyed it very much – it is just the right intensity to really get you sweating without completely wiping you out.
The workout is a high energy mix of cardio moves and higher intensity cardio blasts. The cardio moves are a combination of hi-lo type cardio and kickboxing inspired moves. None of the moves are complex or difficult to pick up as there is no real choreography. They are just simple moves put together and repeated, several times, so you can concentrate on getting a great cardio workout instead. The cardio blasts are all familiar Hiit type moves, such as, air jacks and power hops. These are often repeated for another set. The blasts really get your heart rate up and you breathing harder. Cathe does give the option for keeping some of these lower impact although most she does high impact herself.
My heart rate stayed elevated throughout the whole workout and as there are fewer water breaks, than usual, it does not have a chance to drop too much. I also shuffled through the breaks, she did take, to keep the intensity up a little higher. There is a lot of hopping in this routine so your calves will probably be feeling this by the end. However, you can obviously opt to keep it lower impact, if you prefer.
The routine ends with, what at the time was, a preview of the upcoming Ripped with Hiit series, by showcasing snow angel jacks and Fred Astaires.
Overall, this is a high impact, high energy cardio challenge that combines elements of hi-lo cardio, kickboxing and Hiit drills. As it requires no equipment it is perfect for travel and whenever you want a quick and effective cardio workout. This is definitely one I will return to frequently.

Completed this workout all low impact and I still worked up a sweat. My arms were on fire today. Lots of movements. 🔥🥵
I'm not a big cardio fan, but this was a pretty good workout.
